Charter Schools Capital Program |
IFF’s Charter Schools Capital Program (CSCP) is the only one-stop shop to help Midwest charter schools obtain financing and real estate services at any stage of school development.
Serving schools in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Wisconsin, CSCP seamlessly brings together below-market rate loans and alternative credit-enhanced financing structures. An award-winning program, CSCP has gained national recognition for its innovative use of Department of Education credit enhancements to finance larger charter school projects. The program also helps charter schools in specific markets complete facility acquisition, construction and renovation projects, equipment purchases, and facility improvements. CSCP includes the following services: IFF Loans - Capital for projects ranging from $10,000 to $1.5 million
- Terms of up to 15 years
- Funding for predevelopment and start-up costs
Credit Enhancement of Bonds and Investor Pools - Capital for projects over $1.5 million
- Low tax-exempt interest rates
- Terms of up to 30 years
- 100% financing available
- Leased or owned facilities
Real Estate Services
- Project Feasibility: Development of a preliminary program and space plan; project budget and financial feasibility analysis
- Project Pre-Development: Site identification and evaluation; selection and management of land or building purchase
- Project Management: Selection and coordination of architect and contractors; oversight of design and construction
